This EP has some of the best execution I've ever seen of a concept in music. It's all about Ragnarok and its aftermath, and shit, does it make you feel like the universe is really being torn apart and left in ruins around you.

I have legit never heard a voice as intense as Disembodied Tyrant's vocalist has. The dude's every syllable just drips with violence and sounds like thunder. It's awesome. Overpowering vocal presence.

Park Hyo Shin has a lot of gorgeous and emotional songs! He debuted in 1999, and has been in the music industry for over 23 years now. This song tells the story of his life. All of the hardships he went through, all of the pain he experienced. And he went through A LOT... You should see his song "Yearning" next. There is a live video with English subs on UA-cam. The lyrics are painting a sad story, and Park Hyo Shin conveys the emotions really well! I love how he uses "you, we, us" instead of straight up saying the sex of the other person, it makes it easier for everyone to relate. Also he delivers the vocals in that performance as well

How dare you say that she is not the best in Nightwish with the genius Tuomas?! I am actually 100% with you, both that she fits for me the best with After Forever AND that she lost something after their break-up. Maybe some passion? The end of AF was really hard for her and I am sure it marked her somehow.

Something I only just noticed, having heard this song, and Justin's work in general about a billion times, starting at around 12:13 in this video, you can hear high pitched wails and shouts in the background. Once I pay close attention to it, it really takes this song to a whole different level of disturbing. The "Big pig man" in question, Dicker's final victim, ends up trapped in the lab as the raid is occurring, and burns to death as the lab goes up in flames. Not only was the dude mutilated while fully conscious and able to feel everything, but then he was burned alive, and died alone, and you can straight up hear his strained howls of agony in the background of the song, as well as what sounds like weeping and voice breaking. Doesn't get much more haunting than that. In the story of the album, the guy is a scumbag, but the punishment still far surpasses the crime.

Nice reactions man! Actually this isn't the beginning of the story, not sure why the songs are ordered like that in the EP, but if you check out the titles of the music videos, they tell the order of the chapters, which is Darkbeat > Prisoner > Oblivion > Stereo > Venom > Embers. They are somewhat related to the stages of grief, as a guideline to tell the story. And they just confirmed there's chapter 7 coming, which will be the last one, but will surely be another BANGER!!
